Five Problems Solved by the NEW Speed Jersey

In case you missed it - maybe you were on a long ride - Panache released The Speed Jersey last month. Most people think the coolest thing about the Speed Jersey is the sweet, bold design. Although this is true, the engineering reasons are often overlooked until one has actually worn the Speed Jersey. Thus, for those who have yet to try one on personally, let's review the 5 Main Reasons the Speed Jersey rocks (beyond design):

1. Internalized Stitching for Improved Aero Profile

A product should never be named after a concept it cannot live up to. You wouldn’t expect BEATS by Dre to pump out weak tunes nor would you expect Michael Jordan to be flying high in a pair of rain boots. It is in this school of thought that we used the word speed in front of our new, advanced Speed Jersey. It's not the Classic Jersey (because we are Progressive) or the Podium Jersey (because that's up to you); It's simply, The Speed Jersey. It allows you to go forward with Speed. One of the ways we accomplish this is by moving all stitch faces (the direction of the stitching) internal. Developed to smooth airflow over your legs, arms, shoulders, and neck, the internal stitching on the Speed Line creates a seamless (pun intended) transition from body to environment.

2. All-Direction Stretch Fabric Paneling that virtually Eliminates Neck Flap

If you look closely, you’ll see that the fabric across the upper back and neck area is different than the main body fabric. This is not by accident. A 4-way stretch, wicking fabric, is used on these panels that conforms closely to the skin surface behind the neck. Have you ever been riding along and noticed a bunching of fabric behind your neck, killing your aerodynamics? The Speed Line effectively eliminates this problem, reducing bunching behind the neck and keeping air moving smoothly over the shoulders.

3. Gripper Paint Arm Bands keep Sleeves from Sliding

The sleeve is a big highlight on the new Speed jersey for a couple of reason. First, the arm hole opening uses a compression band with silicone injected ink so that the sleeves stay put and don't slip (up or down). Second, the new shoulder fabric assures full range of motion from riding position to victory salute position. So, whether you’re settling in for a long breakaway, ripping through the last corner on the bell lap, or reaching back for one of those rice cakes, you’ll be comfortable and, more importantly, assured that your tan lines will remain crisp.

4. Performance Fit without Baggy or Flappy fabric flying amiss in the wind

A big highlight of the Speed Collection is the overall performance fit. The jersey has been shortened to keep excess fabric minimal when in riding position. The band at the bottom of the front panels has been fitted with our famous LaSer Cut Gripper Paint. This, despite the shorter jersey, keeps the jersey from creeping up your midsection. Yes, we had your victory celebration in mind when engineering this piece.

5. Style Driven

As you would expect, we adorn the super innovative Speed Jersey with fresh, bold designs. Check them out below!
